My Story

The beginning of Sun Moon & Star

My name is Liz, and I am the owner and artisan of Sun Moon & Star. The name was created by my love for the sun, moon, and stars my whole life. I can now make endless sun moon and star designs.I am a stay-at-home mom. I was a store manager for CVS Pharmacy for over 12 years. When I decided to be a stay-at-home mom a few years ago, I wanted to still be able to use the creative ideas that I used in merchandising my store.

I started watching videos of others making polymer clay earrings and thought that looked like a really fun and creative hobby. I practiced experimenting with ideas I saw. It was a trial-and-error process that slowly got easier and better as I went along.

I ran with the endless possibilities of making polymer clay earrings. Making earrings is fun and satisfies my creative side. My husband built my room in our house, so I had plenty of room to make jewelry and run my business. This allows me to still be there for my son and his school's activities. My son even has his own desk in the room to do his homework or whatever other crafts he wants. He enjoys helping me package the earrings and mail them out. I love having my own quiet space to create designs for my earrings and share them with others. 

I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I enjoy making them. Eventually, I hope to expand from earrings to other jewelry. The ideas are endless. I also enjoy crocheting blankets. Mainly baby blankets.
